Our Team.

We are a people business. Our industry is at its best when talent works together for collective success to create the most tangible of products. That’s why the people who are both part of our internal and external teams are so important - we truly believe it’s our differentiator.

Where others see employing trades direct as risky and inefficient, we embrace it allowing us to have a greater degree of control and ability to affect the overall quality of our projects for the better. Our in-house trades include AC Engineers, Decorators, Electricians, Gas Fitters, Joiners, Plumbers and General Multi-skilled tradesmen.

That’s not to say that we employ all of our own people. The Construction industry is full of businesses who are good at what they do and we wouldn’t be where we are without our supplier partners. They are every much part of our offering as are our people and are an extension of us. In sharing common goals and to do things right, we collaborate with our supplier partners for the mutual success of our customers as well as ourselves.

Our Leadership Team.

Shan Khambata.

Shan was responsible for setting up Bruntwood’s original self-delivery capability from both a maintenance and contracting basis, growing these elements to some 140 people, before becoming a Co-founder and Director of CubicWorks.

With a background as both a Building Services Engineer and a Chartered Building Surveyor, Shan brings a unique perspective in delivering real operational function to proposed solutions. This is often evidenced through Shan’s understanding of how to get the best out of existing assets, majoring on reinvention and reuse where others look for easier more expensive options.

Mark Wright.

Mark is Director and Co-founder at CubicWorks and is responsible for the project operations part of the business, ensuring our teams are really driven to excel. As well as working at Bruntwood, Mark honed his creative design skills with the Cooperative Group in Manchester, developing his understanding of varying customer and business needs, within construction.

This evolved further in leading Bruntwood’s Project Contracting team using his eye for detail to see things before they happen and ensuring all of our projects transition from an idea through to reality, by marrying flair with real practical building knowledge.
